Challenge

Plenty of people in Malaysia hold idle capital and few clear places to put it — and the usual “investment” products are opaque: you hand over money and trust a promise.

BridgeConnect, operated by Earth Guard Ventures in Bintulu, does something you can actually follow. Idle capital funds real, already-placed purchase orders for oil & gas consumables — valves, gaskets, sensors, PPE, pipe fittings — and earns a return when the end buyer pays the invoice 60 to 90 days later. But the money moves through a lot of states: out of a wallet, into a named PO, through delivery and GRN, to a cleared payment, then back as principal plus return. On top of that sit three tiers, an introducer commission layer, and a membership that grows with holdings. The product had to make all of it legible enough for a first-time investor to understand in minutes.

Approach

We designed and built the whole product — a public operator landing, a full investor web-app, and an admin back-office — on Next.js 16, TypeScript, Tailwind v4 and Supabase, with Crossmint minting the membership NFT and multi-brand domain routing tying it to the Earth Guard family.

The spine of the work is semantic colour as language: every hue maps to a part of the business. Teal is the operator and end buyer, blue marks the investor’s tier, purple is the introducer, amber is in-flight, red is overdue or a cost, green is funded and cleared. Colour does the labelling, so a status badge or a balance reads at a glance — no legend required. Every number is set in IBM Plex Mono against a DM Sans interface, so figures line up and feel like data, not marketing.

The investor home — portfolio value, a capital-utilisation bar, and live funding opportunities from the shared pool.

The “Funded” tracker — every purchase order the capital is in, badged by live status from Active through GRN to Fully Paid, Cleared, or Overdue.

Solution

  • An investor home: portfolio value, capital utilisation, and live funding opportunities from the shared pool.
  • A “Funded” view of every purchase order the capital is deployed into, each carrying its own status colour from Active to Cleared.
  • A soulbound membership NFT, generated per member and minted on-chain, that levels from Standard to Gold as holdings grow.
  • A returns simulator, an introducer-commission network, and a wallet for deposits and withdrawals.
  • One design system across the marketing site, the investor app and the operator back-office — built on Next.js 16 and Supabase, with row-level security.

The soulbound membership card — generative guilloché artwork, minted on-chain, that can’t be sold or transferred and levels up as capital grows.

Results

BridgeConnect ships as a real production fintech product, not a brochure — Supabase auth and row-level security, on-chain membership minting, and one design language running from the marketing page through the dashboard to the back-office. Investors deposit from RM 5,000, watch their capital deploy into named purchase orders, and track each one to a cleared payment at 3% Standard, 4% Silver, or 5% Gold per cycle.

It’s mobile-first throughout, so the whole system — landing, portfolio and membership — works the same in a pocket as on a desktop. Live behaviour and long-run performance depend on real order flow, which sits with Earth Guard Ventures.
